World famous animal rescue activist Alan Knight OBE, chief executive of International Animal Rescue, based at Uckfield, will be signing copies of his new book Orangutan Rescue at Waterstones in Lewes High Street on Friday, October 2, between 6.30 and 8.30pm.
He will also be giving a talk and presentation about the incredible work that the IAR rescue centre in Ketapang in West Kalimantan is undertaking to help protect the hundreds of young orangutans who have been injured or orphaned by the relentless march of the palm oil manufacturers who have been decimating their forest habitats.
Tickets can be pre-oredered from the store (01273 475766) at £3 each with this money being deducted from each purchase of the signed copy on the evening.
