G2 this week launched its first-ever Kickstarter campaign to help pay for the printing of Drawing the 92, a unique collection of football ground illustrations by artist Jamie B. Edwards.

Within hours the campaign - - had raised hundreds of pounds towards its £15,000 target.

Jamie spent ten years and travelled more than 25,000 miles to draw all ninety two Premier League and Football League grounds in England and Wales in his inimitable bold colour style.

They have been collected together in a high quality hardback book (260 x 260mm; 224pp) which is to be published in the Autumn following a launch exhibition of the drawings at the National Football Museum on Saturday, November 4.

Mark Chapman, presenter of Match of the Day 2, has written a foreword for the book after he bought several of Jamie’s prints at his market stall in Manchester. In it he states: " The artwork in this book is beautiful but what makes it a glorious offering, is that when you arrive at the drawing of your own special ground, it will take you back to your own special place with your own special memories. "

The Kickstarter campaign gives football fans the opportunity to buy a cloth-bound slip-cased luxury collector’s edition of Drawing the 92 which will be signed and numbered by Jamie for £92 - as you might guess!
